Zia Bass

I met Luke through a good friend of mine whom I met when I first moved to Colorado. Luke's bass turned out to be quite a uniqe bass in itself. To start with the top laminates, body and headstock are made of highly figured Peruvian Walnut. It has a lot of swirly grain throughout the entire piece.
The body core is made of African mahogany with an accent layer of hard maple. The neck consists of hard maple and purpleheart with the center laminate being curly maple. The fretboard is birdseye maple with top/side LED markers and an inlay of the "Zia" sun on the 12th fret. Luke had his initials inlaid into the backside of the headstock which mad for a truly custom setup.
Pickups and electronics are Bartolini 3-band active/passive setup with mid selector switch.
Hardware is Hipshot and strings are Thomastik Infeld "Power Bass".
